Hello Parents and Children...
I am very excited to be your child's teacher for the upcoming school year! My classroom is like a flower garden; I am the gardener and my students are my flowers. I like to look at the classroom in this way because your children need their gardener there for them to nourish their brains to grow into beautiful flowers. This is my job as the gardener; to teach them each in a way that is best for them to grow and gain all of the knowledge that they will need throughout the year and for future grades.
I will keep each parent up to date, in a timely manner, on their little flower. I feel that open communication between each of you and myself is critical during your child's first year at school. By this I do not mean I will be calling or sending notes home only for the "negative." I strongly believe that bringing out the positive and sharing it with you, the parent, is an important aspect in our communication. Please don't be surprised if you get a phone call saying your "flower" wrote their name correctly today! We will have a great school year!
